Dance recital

The girls had their dance recital back on the 16th of May. What a joke this last year of dance was. From the time that Kenadee started dance we had been at Center Stage. We LOVED it there. This year for a bunch of reasons we moved to a new place that was literally about 7 minutes from our house. I had looked into it and thought that it was going to be a great place. I wish I could tell you what it is called so you can avoid it but I won't. It was one thing after another. I don't think anyone knows what is going on there. I was so glad to be done with them. I don't know why I stuck with them for the whole dance year. Kenadee took a tumbling class once a week and also a ballet and jazz class once a week. She loved her tumbling class and she is pretty darn good at it. Her dance class was the worst. She was put in a class with girls that were 9-10 years old. We ended up moving her into a class that was right for her age. The class didn't have a teacher for awhile and she had a different substitute every week. The last week of dance I still hadn't heard anything about a costume. They send out an email the week of the recital and that is how you find out how much the costume is. I didn't see her costume until the night of the recital about an hour before the show. It was an outfit from Children's Place. Nice. Not even cute. And it was $45. I could probably go in the store and buy it for twenty. Can you tell how much I love this dance studio. Her dance was not much of a dance. That sounds mean I know but their was not a whole lot of dancing going on in it. She still did a great job and I was very proud of her. Her tumbling class had been told that they could wear whatever they wanted for their performance. I got an email the morning of the recital that said they needed to be dressed to look like they were from the 80's. Seriously you couldn't have told me that before the day of the recital!! I was trying to come up with something from home because it was a busy day already. They also forgot to bill my account the last month. I am glad that they didn't because they were trying charge me for a class that Kenadee was never in along with the costume. Ridiculous. By the time we got it figured out I was still overcharged $30 but nobody can tell me what for. Reese's class was tiny. Three girls total. The class was almost cancelled because it was so small but for whatever reason they kept it. She really liked her class and the teacher did a good job. Her song was Katy Perry and Elmo singing about dressing up so her teacher just had them wear a dress up from home. Whatever.... The dance was super cute though and Reese did such a great job. It was fun to see them perform and as soon as they were done we were out of there. So glad we are done with this place!

Not very 80's but it is the best we could do with such short notice.

The costume that is not a dance costume.

Pretty sure Jensen is picking his nose in this one.
