Fourth of July and Flaming Gorge

On the morning of the 4th of July we woke up early and headed for Flaming Gorge. My parents, Dani, and Britt and Jer were there along with a bunch of my Hardy family.

We made it in time to go down to the beach for lunch and swimming.

My kids love all of my cousins and they are so great with my kids. We slept in a tent and Sophie was a great camper. We couldn't have much of a fire because of all the bans and restrictions but we still made smores' with what we had.
Thursday morning Troy did some fishing with the kids. Britt brought her kitty and Reese wouldn't leave the poor thing alone.

We decided that it wasn't very good beach weather so we decided to do a tour of the Flaming Gorge Dam.

After the tour it was off to float the river. Troy floated it a few years ago with the boy scouts so he stayed back with Soph and did some fishing on the river.

We had so much fun and kids loved it. Best part was when we hit a rock and it threw my mom out of our boat. Once we got her back in safe we couldn't stop laughing. The look of horror on her face as she went in is something I will never forget. Seriously hilarious.

We spent Friday at the beach again. We stayed until lunch and then we packed up our camp and headed home. It was such a fun trip and my kids are still talking about it.Can't wait to do it again!

Why, oh why did you not do this trip when I lived there!!! That was the lake we went to every weekend!!!! How fun tho. And we never did float the river. That looks like a lot of fun as well. I want to squeeze Soph. She is too cute!!!
