Lake Powell

We spent July 3 - 6th in Lake Powell. We left Friday morning and came home Monday night. It was so much fun. I think that a Lake Powell vacation is hard to beat. I wish we could have stayed longer but Troy needed to get back home to work and school. I was so worried about taking three kids but they were honestly so great. They played hard and they lived in the water. We went with my Hardy side of the family and can I say how much I love all my grandparents, cousins, my aunts and uncles , and my own family. We missed Brittney and Ashley. Their was 37 of us on the houseboat and at night it was one sleeping bag after another on the top of the houseboat. We had a couple of good storms and that always keeps things fun. Troy had to sit on top of the anchor while it was pouring rain while some of the boys went looking for rocks to keeps us anchored. The boat wouldn't start and it was blowing pretty hard. We survived. We watched fireworks and did our own. We also had some crazy neighbors that did a "Burning Women" because one of them were recently divorced. They were interesting. We ate good food, tubed, floated, watched movies, went on fun boat rides and more. Jensen fell asleep every time we got on the boat. All three of them slept great at night. We are a Lake Powell family. It is my favorite vacation. We have been going since I was little. This was Kenadee's 5th trip and Reese's 3rd. They love it too. I am already looking forward to the next time! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Hardy for the best tradition ever....

Your girls are spoiled! Reese has been there as many times as I have and she's 3!! I miss that place. Looks like you had so much fun though. Way to enjoy your summer!! By the way, some of my best high school memories are with your Hardy side of the family. Remember those barn dances?...

Ahhhhh, Powell. I haven't been there in much too long. 3 years I believe. Luckily we already have a trip planned for next summer! Looks like SO much fun- it made me jealous! I can't believe you're going to Bear Lake next month too- you lucky duck.

LOVE LOVE your suit. You look darling in it. All you girls are so pretty....I have always thought so and been envious of your LONG DARK hair. So beautiful.

Your kids are adorable.

I hope I'm not a paranoid freak at powell with jaxson. This gave me hope that he'll survive...and have fun too:)

Hey there Tara-its been awhile! Oh how I miss Lake Powell. My dad sold his house boat after I got married, so we haven't been in years. So glad you guys had a good time, your sisters are so grown-up...weird! Cute baby, can you believe he is almost one?
