Kenadee's Baptism

Kenadee was baptized back on February 4th. Over Christmas vacation we went on a shopping trip to find a baptism dress for her. She had so much fun trying on dresses and her and I both loved the one that she picked. She helped me pick out her invite and they turned out so cute.

Her baptism day was so great but it was definitely a challenge to have all of us and the house ready to be at the church by 11! She was so excited for this day and it showed.

We made it to the church and took a few pictures in her dress. Then we got her baptism clothes and got her dressed. This was a memorable experience as her mother. I loved being able to spend this little bit of one on one time with her that day. I am so proud of her and it was definitely her choice to be baptised. She is a wise soul when it comes to the gospel. I am pretty sure she knows more than I do and she is a great example to our family.

I could tell that she was a little bit nervous before the program. She really just wanted to go in the chapel and start. She was baptized the same day as one of her friends so we were able to plan the program with them. I asked Kenadee to choose someone to speak at her baptism and she chose Grandpa Jensen. He did a fantastic job speaking on baptism and I think it meant a lot to Kenadee. She also chose Aunt Toni to say the prayer. Troy baptized her and did a great job.

After the baptism it was back to our house for lunch. We had chicken salad sandwiches, rolls with lunch meat, yummy salads and desserts. My mom also had a darling baptism cake made for Kenadee. She loved it. She received lots of cute gifts from friends and family and Troy and I gave her scriptures and a bag that I made for them.

I am so thankful for Kenadee and the sweet girl that she is. She means the world to me and I am so lucky to be her mom.
