We decided that we needed a little family vacation a couple months ago. We wanted somewhere close and warm where we could get away for a couple of days. I have been eyeing the Tahiti Beach Resort in Las Vegas for awhile now after seeing it on a friends blog. I convinced Troy that this was our place and we went at the end of March. We left on Friday the 23rd. We were all packed and ready to go the night before so we headed out early in the morning. We made it to St. George around lunchtime and picked up Subway to eat at the park so the kids could play for awhile. The weather was perfect. I love St. George. We played and then drove the rest of the way to Vegas. When we made it to the hotel Troy went inside to check in. The woman at the desk pulled up our reservation and informed him that our reservation was scheduled for May. She said they were booked and if we could pull up the confirmation email that would show the date we had booked for. Awesome. We both searched our emails looking for the confirmation email and couldn't find it. Troy went back inside to ask what email address they had for us and found out the lady had messed up and they did have our room for us. They even upgraded us to a bigger room. The hotel was awesome besides the bullet bike convention that was staying at the hotel. Some of them were scary and I avoided eye contact:) We headed over to the MGM Grand to see the Lions which are no longer there. So then it was onto the M&M store. We saw a short 3D movie there, got some expensive M&Ms and decided to get the heck out of there. The strip is such a great place to take kids...... Really I tried to keep them busy so they wouldn't see the garbage all around them. We got dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and then picked up some snacks and breakfast food before heading back to the hotel. Saturday morning we hung out at the Town Square mall while we waited for it to warm up a bit so we could go swimming. We had frozen yogurt and played at the kids playground. Then it was lunch and swimming. The pool at the resort is AWESOME! The kids loved it. It is perfect for all ages. They have a sandy beach with sand toys for the little kids, a volleyball net, and a lazy river that I could have floated in all day. That night Troy and Jensen had tickets to the Monster Jam World finals. Jensen is OBSESSED and we picked that weekend so they could go. All of his favorite trucks were there and they had a blast. Troy said it was awesome and wants to go every year. While the boys were gone we went to an outlet mall right by our hotel and wandered. We had dinner at Ihop and then went back to the hotel to watch a movie and relax. Sunday morning we headed home sad that it was over already!
