Thanksgiving Tradition
This year we had Thanksgiving dinner up in Heber with Troy's family. We went up Wednesday night and had Chinese food and then played games. It was so much fun and Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. Troy's mom does a great job with the dinner. We always have a pie contest after dinner and they were all yummo. Thursday night we headed to Bear Lake for my FAVORITE family tradition, cutting down Christmas trees. We got up early Friday, ate Costco muffins for breakfast, and then headed to Montpelier to get our tree permits. Part of the tradition is to stop at Maverick after we get the tree permits and get cheese bread. Every year because we can't break the tradition. Then we head back to Paris to cut down the trees. This year it was my family and my mom's two sisters. Maegen and Jed didn't come this year because she went shopping instead. I stayed down in the parking lot with Jensen because it was pretty stinkin cold. Everybody else went up the mountain on a tree hunt. Afterwards we had hot chocolate (mostly hot water) and headed back to cabin for Thanksgiving leftovers. We came home Saturday afternoon and decorated the house. I love this time of year. I love all of the traditions and the family time. Merry Christmas!
