We had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving this year. It was our year with my family and of course we headed up to the cabin in Bear Lake. I LOVE being able to spend time with all my family. My grandma and grandpa have worked so hard to make the cabin somewhere where we can all get together and relax. We did plenty of relaxing. Lots of movies and reading and staying up late talking and laughing. My grandma is also a great cook and put on quite the spread. Delicious food! We left Wednesday night and came home on Friday after cutting down Christmas trees. I really think that this is one of my favorite traditions of all time. We get up and get ready to go and then caravan to Montpelier, Idaho. We get our tree permit for $10. Stop at Maverick for treats and cheese bread, then back to Paris Idaho to head up the canyon in search of the perfect tree. I was picky this year. Last year we put the tree in the basement because we had just finished it. Our tree was short and sparse and I hated it. So this year we picked a tall tree and put it upstairs. It is about 12 feet tall! 18 strands of lights later I love it. Troy is becoming an expert tree picker outer.

I feel like we have so much to be thankful for this year. We have been very blessed. Some days I feel like I might not survive, but I think Heavenly Father knows when I have had enough and helps me out. Some of the things I am thankful for.
-Three healthy kids that I love to pieces.
-A wonderful husband that never stops.
-Family. Parents, the best sisters ever, awesome in-laws, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. I feel so blessed to have an abundance of family.
-Work. Troy has been able to work for a amazing company for so many years now. They are very good to us.
-Friends. I have so many wonderful friends.
-Our home.
-Reese's teachers. They have been such a blessing in our lives. Without them I would never be able to teach Reese all that their is for her to learn.
-Reese's progress. She is climbing mountains every single day. I am amazed at her progress and her willingness to learn.
-The gospel. We were able to renew our temple recommends last night and I am so thankful for that. Sometimes that is the only place to go for peace. I have a new resolve to visit there more often.
-The Christmas Season. I am so happy that it is here. I have been listening to Christmas music for about a month now. I decorated the house the week before Thanksgiving. Why? It makes me a nicer, happier mom. I love this time of year. Time to make memories and enjoy life to the fullest. Merry Christmas!
