Reese update.

I have been meaning to do this for awhile because she has come so far. Reese has such a funny little personality. She is a spitfire for sure but she can be a sweetheart too. She really loves being able to hear. She doesn't like to be without her implant. Troy and I have both had battles with her because she doesn't want to take it off when she gets in the tub. She has a new habit of freaking out a bit when it falls off of her ear. She will put her hand over her ear and scream at you until you fix it. She has become quite the little singer. She has more of an obsession than Kenadee ever had with the Barbie movies. She has a Barbie dress up that she ends up in for the majority of everyday! She then walks around the house like a princess singing and dancing putting on quite the show. She can repeat almost any word back to us. She understands a lot of what we say now. She call Troy daddy and me mommy. Kenadee is dede and Jensen is buddy. She is VERY aware of all the sounds around her. Some of the things that we are starting to focus on with her are recognizing what things are when she sees them. Teaching her colors. Finishing words. She will be starting preschool at the School for the Deaf in the spring and I can't wait to see her progress. Anyone that has been around Reese can see that she is a smart cookie. I have no doubt that her hearing loss will never stop her from doing what she wants to do. She still has lots to learn but I am a proud momma when it comes to how far she has come!

Reese is a rockstar! That is soo soo awesome. She is so pretty, Tara. I wanna squeeze her.

I didn't realize Rissa and Kenadee were the same age. Duh. Thats crazy. We will both be bawling this fall, you with your oldest, and me with my youngest going to the big K. Ugh.

We are so done though, 3 just about did me in, but they say once you get past 3, its a breeze.

That is so good to hear! She is so adorable! She is just a free little spirit. The last time I saw you guys she reminded me of a little butterfly fluttering around. I am so glad she calls you Mommy and Troy Daddy and I love the little nick names for the others. That is GREAT. I knew she was in great hands with parents like you and that she would make it through just fine.

Yeah for Reese and her mommy! I have a friend whose daughter is dealing with some hearing issues. I told her your story about you knowing something was wrong and she took that and talked to her doctor and low and behold...something was wrong. It's amazing to me how much the Lord's hand is in all things. I am so grateful for tender mercies and wonderful friends who share experiences. Your family is as beautiful as I remember it. Miss you much!
