Memorial Day Weekend

We love going to Bear Lake. My Grandpa and Grandma Hardy have a cabin, and we love to go any time we get a chance. We left Friday night and it was pretty late by the time we got there. We were about thirty minutes from the cabin when Jensen decided he was DONE being in the car. I finally gave him a piece of licorice to keep him happy. When we got to the cabin he was a mess. He looked like he had been in an accident. When I showed him himself in the mirror he thought it was pretty funny! I think he thoroughly enjoyed it. Saturday we relaxed all day long. It was pretty chilly so we weren't able to go swimming down at the pool. I for some reason thought that it was summer and took no warm clothes for my kids. Luckily I had a bag of clothes in the back of my car that I hadn't dropped off at the DI yet and I was able dig out some warm clothes for them. My grandpa just finished a separate loft and Kenadee and Halley lived up there the whole weekend. They had so much fun playing with my cousins. Troy and Jeremy took their dirt bikes and that kept them happy. I enjoyed hanging out with my grandma, mom, aunts, cousins, and sisters. We had lots of good conversations about expiration dates on food. My grandma thinks that we are crazy when we check all the labels and throw stuff away! Grandma I owe you a bottle of Miracle Whip and I hope you still love me! Saturday night we got famous Bear Lake shakes. Sunday we went down to the park when it finally stopped raining. The swing set had a swing that was big enough for adults to sit in and be buckled and I think I laughed harder than I have for a long time when we all took turns in it. My uncle brought the pitching machine and I made a fool of myself trying to hit the ball. Monday more of the family came and we had a barbeque. My uncle Andy smoked a pig and it was SOOOO good. We finally made it home late last night. It was a long, lazy weekend and I loved spending time with my family. Good times.....

I too love the licorice pic, once I gave Jack a piece of licorice and then after a few minutes took it away and he had a melt down. Who knew babies LOVED licorice. I am glad you put a pic of your grandpa, I haven't seen him since I worked at the golf course. Glad you had fun.
