Jensen

We are home from the hospital and doing great. We finally picked a name for him on Tuesday night. We had two names that we were trying to choose from and we really liked both of them so it took awhile. Jensen Troy is what we decided and I think it fits him. One of the nurses that was with him a couple of the days took a liking to him and nicknamed him Bubba Campbell before we named him. I guess that is what he went by in the nursery. He is such a sweet, good baby. I always thought I was meant to be a mom of girls but I am loving having a boy. I can't get enough of him. Monday was such a long day. We had to be at the hospital at 5:00 in the morning so my mom came Sunday night to stay with the girls. We got checked into the hospital and I got my IV and then we waited awhile for the epidural. I started to get nervous at that point thinking about the surgery. The anesthesiologist came in a little before 7:00. Troy was standing in front of me holding my hand while I had the epidural done and he swears that I almost took his hand off. It was not a fun experience. The first time he hit a blood vessel so he took it out and started over. The pressure in my back was unbelievable. I was so freaked out. So I pretty much had the epidural done twice. Yeah lots of fun. It kicked in pretty fast and kind of calmed me down but I was feeling pretty nauseous. My Dr. was delivering another baby so we had to wait a few minutes longer to go to the surgery room . My mom and sisters and Troy's mom were there with my girls and my dad made it too. By the time they got me into the operating room I was so nervous. I was having to stop myself from throwing up through the whole thing. I felt a lot of it this time. No pain just lots of tugging and pulling and so much pressure. They had to push so hard on my stomach to get him out I thought they were going to push my heart right out of my body. I was so anxious to see what the baby was. Finally they say they can see his head and Troy told me that it had hair. Finally I hear "It's a BOY!" and I could not believe it. Troy was laughing and crying and I was just in shock. I was SO happy to hear those words. He was born at 8:17. 10 lbs 5 oz. 20.5 inches long. I about died when I heard that. Troy took him into the room where everyone was waiting and he told Kenadee and Reese they had ha baby brother. I don't think anyone believed him. The nurse took off his diaper to prove it to everyone. I had to be in recovery for awhile so by the time I really got to see him it was almost 11:00. He is a little man already. He has huge hands and was off the charts in everything. For being such a big baby he isn't rolly and fat. He is just big. He fits perfectly already into 0-3 and I don't think he will fit in them for long. He is a good mix between Kenadee and Reese and I think most of us think he looks just like Troy. He is eating great and sleeps really well. I just want to love him and squish him all day. We came home from the hospital yesterday afternoon and it is good to be home. Kenadee likes him quite a bit and has been a good helper when she is here. She went home with my mom yesterday to go spend the weekend in Bear Lake with my family. Reese has been great with him so far. She loves him for a minute and then leaves him alone. Last night she came and crawled in bed with us around 1:00 in the morning. Around two I had just finished feeding him and I was putting him back in his bed. I heard her roll over and she rolled right off the bed. Troy jumped out of bed and picked her up and sure enough she has a big bleeding gash on her head. She smacked it on our lamp. I was pretty sure it needed stitches. Troy took her in by himself and I felt so bad. Now I am glad because she had to be held down and I would have cried. She was fine as soon as it was over and when they got home she wanted to put a Band Aid on my forehead and Troy's. Of all the nights for this to happen! So we are home and recovering. I am feeling pretty good today. The best I have felt. I can't wait to feel back to normal. Here are way too many pictures from the past few days.....

I am so excited for your family! Having a baby is a lot of work, but so REWARDING!! Your girls will be so cute with him and I'm sure he'll be plenty spoiled. Let me know when we can come visit...I have a little gift, but don't want to come too soon. Keep us posted and remember to sleep when he does. ;)

Your baby is so cute. Kami called me that morning to tell me you had a boy. You deserve it. He looks like your dad to me. Too bad about Reese. Kids will be kids. Just ask Kami, Hayden and Alyssa have both been to ER recently. Congratulations!

I am SO glad you picked that name for him - he just screams Jensen to me. Really! And what a cutie. I want to come hold him and squish him too! :) Maybe in a couple months we will all get together and you and Linz can bring the babies. Then I can take care of my baby hungriness without actually having a baby!

Anyway, I'm glad things are going well. Hope you are feeling good and recovering well! Talk to you soon!

He is such a cutie! Take some pics of his nursery when you can, I would love to see it. Two epidurals would definitly suck, just thinking about the one I am going to get scares me! That is so sad about little Reese. I can't wait to see Jensen in person!

What a great name. He is adorable. Hopefully boys are a little easier than girls you'll have to let me know. When your not so overwhelmed you need to call me. I'm sorry to her about Reese. I still have issues from when Ellie had to get stiches. So good thing you weren't there. Good luck with the new baby.
